Catching Up !

Hello again everyone :) Long time no see !

I've been busy with lots of craftiness and this weekend just gone I spent the most amazing day at the Stampin' Up! regional event in Telford with a whole bunch of lovely Demo's and the best Team ever Monica's Passionettes :) I'll share more details about that later.

First I need to share with you all my Watercolor Wonders Class that I held earlier this month. We made 4 beautiful cards and the Ladies that took the class had a fab time even though I was a teensy bit nervous!

So , enough chat , do you want to see the first 2 projects ?? OK then :)

All of the projects were made using the Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper and complimenting Happy Watercolor Stamp Set, the first was a Box Card project and although these look a little daunting the basic construction is quite simple and then you can decorate the 'box' to your hearts content!

Here the Ladies learned how to use the Blender Pens and Ink Pads to create a soft watercolour effect, simple and quick, we all like that!

Next was a completely different colour scheme of Gumball Green, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate for a delicate card, there's such a versatile range of colours and patterns in these Designer Papers and they are still available until the end of June if you would like some.

We stamped the tag using the Chalk Talk stamps and matching Framelits and added Papillon PotPourri butterflies in Smoky Slate, a favourite with everyone in class and again not difficult to create.

We made another two cards which I'll share with you tomorrow and if you think you'd like to join us for the next class please email me nicolakerridge@virginmedia.com and I'll let you have the details as soon as the class is planned.

I'll see you all tomorrow

Fresh Prints Variation on a Theme

You know the saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' ? Well this is kind of how this card is in relation to yesterdays design, exactly the same technique and layout just flipped upright and with different colours and papers. When something works just make a bunch of them , cool !

This is a base of Coastal Cabana inked in the same colour using the Hardwood stamp , believe me you NEED this stamp, I keep reaching for it over and over again for background and it looks great in every colour!

The papers are from the Fresh Prints Stack, I love it when Stampin' Up! come up with paper stacks as you get loads of designs in a smaller format for such a small price ....perfect. This particular stack is available in the Spring Catalogue if you fancy one.

The sentiment is from Perfect Pennants, again a really versatile stamp set that seems to work for everything.

I hope you are enjoying the designs I'm sharing with you on my blog, please let me know if you'd like anything that I've used, I'm always happy to help.

See you all again soon

Scalloped Tag Punch Class - Take 2 !

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by again. I almost forgot to share the other variation I taught at my Scalloped Tag Punch Class earlier this month with the lovely Eclectic Keepsakes Ladies !

The projects were exactly the same but how different they look in a different colour pallette of Real Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake and with a more classic feminine theme ...

The scalloped closure card with a beautiful paper rose made from the Spiral Flower die

Here's a closer look , I also embossed the rose first using the Sale A Bration freebie Dots folder.

Next to a simpler card with the Hardwood Stamp background and sentiments and banners from the Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits bundle.

And finally a little scalloped top treat box embellished with a die cut and stamped sentiment from the Chalk Talk bundle.

All the Ladies had a lovely time creating these projects and I even managed to convert some first time stampers into Stampin' Up! fans :)

I have lots to share with you over the next few days so please keep an eye out for more posts.

See you soon

Feeling the Love !

Hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend, I've had a lovely time making cards and enjoying some time at home having a lovely Sunday Lunch with my Family :)

With St Valentines Day nearly upon us I thought it was time to get a bit 'lovey dovey' , with that in mind I made this card with the Petal Parade stamp set that I got a freebie during Sale A Bration ! I mixed in some Gold Embossing powder and used Gold Foil too, so on trend , you will be seeing so much Gold this season in crafting and of course Stampin' Up have it covered for us.

The colours featured are Pool Party , Crumb Cake , Jet Black StazOn and of course Gold , I also embossed a Very Vintage Button in the Gold too to pull the look together. It's a little twist on traditional Valentines colours but I love how it turned out , hope you do too.

I shall be back tomorrow with details of a Stampers Club I'll be starting soon and some more Valentines are on their way as special commissions for the chaps in work ;)

Thanks for visiting , see you soon
