I had an amazing day was very privileged to have visited the finest venues for ballet and opera , the Royal Opera House and the London Coliseum , home of the ENO.
Beautiful bronze ballet dancer sculpture , situated just outside the ROH.
Dress rehearsal of Swan Lake was taking place inside and I was lucky enough to see the sets too, jaw droppingly beautiful. There was lots of activity in preparation for Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville, fantastic sets !!) and Gisele which was broadcast live to cinemas last night ,The Magic Flute and bizarrely the Anna Nicole Smith opera !!! It is totally amazing how these productions are brought together and the enthusiasm shared by all those involved.
The London Coliseum ....
Just a short walk up St Martins Lane , a remarkable building totally refurbished in 2004 and restored to its former glory. The crew are in full preparation for Lucrezia Borgia at the end of this month.
So much more than a normal workday wednesday and I loved every minute of it.
I will share a more crafty post next time , until then xxxxxx
