Easter Makes ...

Hello again everyone, I hope you all enjoying the long Easter Weekend and having lots of quality time with family, friends and of course CHOCOLATE !

I made lots of pretties for Easter and I did intend to share some of them with you a lot earlier but I guess its better late than never!

I wanted to make some cute things and some more vintage things too, this little basket is filled with real moss and some papier mache eggs I bought, I've decorated them with paper that I punched with the Hexagon punch, lots of hexagons all glued together to completely cover the eggs.

They are decorated with roses made with the Spiral Flower die and Floral Fusions die and a little butterfly from Papillon Potpourri. The trims are Pool Party Seam Binding and Vintage Crochet, I'm really pleased with how they turned out :)

Next is another egg that was inspired by one on Pinterest, this uses Subtles coloured  cardstock punched with Petite Petals punch and fixed to a polystyrene egg with dressmakers pins, again the Pool Party Seam Binding matches beautifully and it hung so prettily from a vase of Pussy Willow stems on the dinner table.

I made some cards and little chocolate bunny holders too , I'll share those tomorrow.

Thanks for popping by.

Coming Up Roses !

Hi again everyone , the weekend is here and hooray for the sunshine ! With Mothers Day tomorrow and florists across the land rubbing their hands with glee it seems fitting to get floral. Of course fresh flowers are beautiful and my Mum loves them but these amazing roses made with the Stampin' Up! Spiral Flowers Die will certainly stay the distance!

The die takes all the guess work out of cutting the perfect shape and as its an Originals die its tough enough to cut paper, cardstock, felt, leather etc etc in your BigShot.

I find that breaking the fibres down in the cardstock gives a much better looking rose, you can do that by spritzing with water or I like to run the die cut shape through an embossing folder before rolling it into shape. Here I've also stamped the rose with the splodge stamp from Gorgeous Grunge so it has tonal shades too.

I added one of these to some Hardwood stamped tags and popped them on my Virtual Hostess club members goodies last month , I hope they liked them.

If you'd like a Spiral Flower Die they are just £15.95 each and you can order via my online shop or by emailing me nicolakerridge@virginmedia.com

I will see you tomorrow with my Mothers Day Card ...can't wait to give it to my Mum :)

Scalloped Tag Punch Class - Take 2 !

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by again. I almost forgot to share the other variation I taught at my Scalloped Tag Punch Class earlier this month with the lovely Eclectic Keepsakes Ladies !

The projects were exactly the same but how different they look in a different colour pallette of Real Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake and with a more classic feminine theme ...

The scalloped closure card with a beautiful paper rose made from the Spiral Flower die

Here's a closer look , I also embossed the rose first using the Sale A Bration freebie Dots folder.

Next to a simpler card with the Hardwood Stamp background and sentiments and banners from the Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits bundle.

And finally a little scalloped top treat box embellished with a die cut and stamped sentiment from the Chalk Talk bundle.

All the Ladies had a lovely time creating these projects and I even managed to convert some first time stampers into Stampin' Up! fans :)

I have lots to share with you over the next few days so please keep an eye out for more posts.

See you soon
