Golden Years

50 years ago today this beautiful young couple started out their married life together full of love and hope and expectations for their future together, they worked hard and made a perfect couple.

They had a baby daughter a few years later and lived Happily Ever After :)

This beautiful Bride and Handsome Groom are my Mummy & Daddy and they are truly the best parents I could ever have wished for x

Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary Jo & Sid you are both amazing and I wish you lots of love today and many more Happy Anniversaries.

So in a manner befitting the occasion I created a card for them ....

I love that whatever the celebration Stampin' Up! has just what I need to make the perfect card, I have used Fancy Foil Vellum with the adorable golden hearts on and Gold Foil too for a luxurious touch, both these products are still available in the Spring Catalogue until the end of June.

I layered up the Labels Framelits with a neutral Sahara Sand and the sentiment is tamped using Memorable Moments totally indispensable as it covers all dates and occasions.

The final flourishes are Papillion Potpourri butterflies, all the stamping was done with Versamark ink and Stampin' Up! Gold Embossing powder, it gives such a rich and professional looking finish.

A few pearls and a Vintage Crochet Trim were added for prettiness.

I hope you enjoyed sharing my Mummy & Daddy's special day and card with me :)

Catching Up !

Hello again everyone :) Long time no see !

I've been busy with lots of craftiness and this weekend just gone I spent the most amazing day at the Stampin' Up! regional event in Telford with a whole bunch of lovely Demo's and the best Team ever Monica's Passionettes :) I'll share more details about that later.

First I need to share with you all my Watercolor Wonders Class that I held earlier this month. We made 4 beautiful cards and the Ladies that took the class had a fab time even though I was a teensy bit nervous!

So , enough chat , do you want to see the first 2 projects ?? OK then :)

All of the projects were made using the Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper and complimenting Happy Watercolor Stamp Set, the first was a Box Card project and although these look a little daunting the basic construction is quite simple and then you can decorate the 'box' to your hearts content!

Here the Ladies learned how to use the Blender Pens and Ink Pads to create a soft watercolour effect, simple and quick, we all like that!

Next was a completely different colour scheme of Gumball Green, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate for a delicate card, there's such a versatile range of colours and patterns in these Designer Papers and they are still available until the end of June if you would like some.

We stamped the tag using the Chalk Talk stamps and matching Framelits and added Papillon PotPourri butterflies in Smoky Slate, a favourite with everyone in class and again not difficult to create.

We made another two cards which I'll share with you tomorrow and if you think you'd like to join us for the next class please email me nicolakerridge@virginmedia.com and I'll let you have the details as soon as the class is planned.

I'll see you all tomorrow

Six Sided Sampler

Hello everyone, I'm back with another design to share with you all :)

Today it's the fabulous Six Sided Sampler stamps and matching punch ....

I've used some retiring In Colors , Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit and the Designer Paper is Watercolor Wonder, as all our papers are double sided you get so much choice and these Slate Grey polka dots are perfect as a background.

A little addition of a Papillon Potpourri butterfly and a nice satin ribbon in Summer Starfruit completes this card.

Thanks for joining me again , see you soon.

Easter Makes ...

Hello again everyone, I hope you all enjoying the long Easter Weekend and having lots of quality time with family, friends and of course CHOCOLATE !

I made lots of pretties for Easter and I did intend to share some of them with you a lot earlier but I guess its better late than never!

I wanted to make some cute things and some more vintage things too, this little basket is filled with real moss and some papier mache eggs I bought, I've decorated them with paper that I punched with the Hexagon punch, lots of hexagons all glued together to completely cover the eggs.

They are decorated with roses made with the Spiral Flower die and Floral Fusions die and a little butterfly from Papillon Potpourri. The trims are Pool Party Seam Binding and Vintage Crochet, I'm really pleased with how they turned out :)

Next is another egg that was inspired by one on Pinterest, this uses Subtles coloured  cardstock punched with Petite Petals punch and fixed to a polystyrene egg with dressmakers pins, again the Pool Party Seam Binding matches beautifully and it hung so prettily from a vase of Pussy Willow stems on the dinner table.

I made some cards and little chocolate bunny holders too , I'll share those tomorrow.

Thanks for popping by.

Feeling the Love !

Hope you are all having a nice relaxing weekend, I've had a lovely time making cards and enjoying some time at home having a lovely Sunday Lunch with my Family :)

With St Valentines Day nearly upon us I thought it was time to get a bit 'lovey dovey' , with that in mind I made this card with the Petal Parade stamp set that I got a freebie during Sale A Bration ! I mixed in some Gold Embossing powder and used Gold Foil too, so on trend , you will be seeing so much Gold this season in crafting and of course Stampin' Up have it covered for us.

The colours featured are Pool Party , Crumb Cake , Jet Black StazOn and of course Gold , I also embossed a Very Vintage Button in the Gold too to pull the look together. It's a little twist on traditional Valentines colours but I love how it turned out , hope you do too.

I shall be back tomorrow with details of a Stampers Club I'll be starting soon and some more Valentines are on their way as special commissions for the chaps in work ;)

Thanks for visiting , see you soon
