Coming Up Roses !

Hi again everyone , the weekend is here and hooray for the sunshine ! With Mothers Day tomorrow and florists across the land rubbing their hands with glee it seems fitting to get floral. Of course fresh flowers are beautiful and my Mum loves them but these amazing roses made with the Stampin' Up! Spiral Flowers Die will certainly stay the distance!

The die takes all the guess work out of cutting the perfect shape and as its an Originals die its tough enough to cut paper, cardstock, felt, leather etc etc in your BigShot.

I find that breaking the fibres down in the cardstock gives a much better looking rose, you can do that by spritzing with water or I like to run the die cut shape through an embossing folder before rolling it into shape. Here I've also stamped the rose with the splodge stamp from Gorgeous Grunge so it has tonal shades too.

I added one of these to some Hardwood stamped tags and popped them on my Virtual Hostess club members goodies last month , I hope they liked them.

If you'd like a Spiral Flower Die they are just £15.95 each and you can order via my online shop or by emailing me nicolakerridge@virginmedia.com

I will see you tomorrow with my Mothers Day Card ...can't wait to give it to my Mum :)

You're Lovely !

That's the gorgeous stamp set that I made this card with , 'You're Lovely' its a Sale A Bration freebie and includes this pretty stamp that you can colour in to match your card perfectly...

I used Pool Party , Sahara Sand and Whisper White as my colour palette which matches this gorgeous paper from the Sweet Sorbet pack.

The Deco Label Framelits look fab layered up and a little bit of texture with the Decorative Dots embossing folder finishes it off nicely.

This was a perfect thank you to a dear friend for all her support and love , I'd be lost without her :)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Zoo Babies Birthday

Hello again everyone, today I wanted a share a Birthday card I made for baby Ava , she was one yesterday and I thought the Zoo Babies stamp set would be just the job for her card.

I chose a combo of Strawberry Slush, Pool Party and Basic Gray and I couldn't resist a little sparkle of Silver Glimmer Paper !

Justin treated me to a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine for my Birthday and it cuts Stampin' Up! cardstock and the Glimmer paper beautifully , here I've used it to cut Ava's name.

Just a quick post today but I hope you liked the card, I 'm off to send a Newsletter to my lovely customers if you'd like it let me know and I'll send it to you too.

Bye for now ...

Scallop Tag Topper Punch Class

Hello again everyone , I've been very busy this week planning a Workshop that I'm demonstrating at Eclectic Keepsakes Crop in Colchester this Saturday , I'm really excited and as I've shared the images with the Crop Ladies I thought I'd share them with you too.

Here's the full ensemble which is all using the fab new Scallop Tag Topper Punch from the Spring Summer Catalogue , it's really versatile and not just for tags as you can see ...

I've chosen a bold mix of the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper and cardstock in Raspberry Ripple and Very Vanilla. The accents of Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green all co-rdinate perfectly.

Here's the Tag Topper closure design , I love how effective this looks and it's so easy to accomplish with the punch.

Here's a more traditional use of the tag but still so effective especially when set against the embossed background , that's the FREE Sale A Bration Decorative Dots Folder that you can get when you spend £45 or more before the end of March. The sentiment stamp is yet another freebie too, the See Ya Later set , I love it and you'll be seeing more of that soon!!!!

Finally a super cute little treat box with the Scallop Tag Topper too ! Such fun to make and even easier with my trusty Stampin' Scoreboard and Stampin' Trimmer.

Right , I have lots still to prepare for my Ladies on Saturday but I'll be back soon to show you the same items with a completely different look using another colour palette and a more classic theme.

Thank you for visiting :)
