Nuts about you !

Hi again :)

One of the best things about the new annual catalogue is the amazing selection of Hostess Stamps sets available ...of course as  Hostess you can choose to spend your Hostess Bonus on anything from any of the current catalogues BUT you can also choose from the gorgeous Hostess Exclusives and get more bang for your buck. One of the sets is this super cute 'Nuts About You' set , I love it , here's a cute card I made with it this weekend ...

The set comprises the gorgeous tree, squirrels , birds, a little hanging creature which I think is a mongoose (but I'm making that up as I go along LOL!) and four sweet sentiments. All for only £9.00 Hostess spendies !!!

I teamed it with the Hardwood background stamp and some punched flowers from the Itty Bitty accents punch pack , that has to be one of the top sellers from this catty at only £15.50 for a star, flower and heart punches that I'll use over and over.

You can qualify for Hostess spends by Hosting a workshop with a spend of £150 or by joining one of my Stampers Clubs where you are a 'Virtual' Hostess , you'd have £25 to spend so you can get this cute-i-ful stamp set and still get the punches OMG , how cool is that !!!

Contact me if you are interested , I'd love to do a workshop for you or tell you about the upcoming Stampers Clubs.

That's all for now, thank you for popping back.

Baked Brown Sugar in the Spotlight !

Aah , my little brown lovely , I forgot you yesterday so today you can have your moment !

Baked Brown Sugar is the super soft, sweet brown shade in the current In Colors, it looks so good combined with it's sister colours and is perfect as a wood effect when the cardstock and ink are used together with the Hardwood stamp...

This card uses the Label Framelits layered with a sentiment from Perfect Pennants and flowers stamped from Petite Petals and punched with the elusive Petite Petals punch, I think all my Ladies have finally received theirs, this was such a popular item from the Spring catalogue it just kept selling out !

Here's a little close up, for artistic reasons , of course !!

Enjoy your Tuesday everyone.

More Easter makes ...

Hi again everyone, wow this weekend has flown by but I've had a lovely time relaxing and enjoying it.

I promised I'd come back and share some of the other pretties I made for Easter and its all pretty much about the bunnies !!!

First up a Bunny Hutch , I made this using my Silhouette as I don't have the Stampin' Up! Mini Milk Carton die in my collection, the cardstock is stamped with the Hardwood stamp, love that stamp it's so versatile! I added some grass inside the hutch and used the fab Fringe Scissors , you can barely see it in this shot, I think the Bunny may have been munching it ! Finally I embellished with Petite Petals punched flowers and a tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and a cute image from Eggstra Spectacular stamp set.

Next up a Bunny Run! Again used fab SU cardstock and run it through my Silhouette machine , our cardstock cuts so well in this machine, this was decorated with the same punches as the hutch :) Love those Lindt Bunnies and Carrots , sooo cute!

A couple of cute cards in So Saffron cardstock and the Eggstra Spectacular set ....

And finally a gift bag containing a little Easter pressie for my Mummy :)

Well I think I'm all 'Eastered' out now, well apart from the lovely M&S egg I still have unopened;)

Wish you all a happy week and I'll be back soon with more makes to share and not a bunny or egg in sight, promise!!!

Coming Up Roses !

Hi again everyone , the weekend is here and hooray for the sunshine ! With Mothers Day tomorrow and florists across the land rubbing their hands with glee it seems fitting to get floral. Of course fresh flowers are beautiful and my Mum loves them but these amazing roses made with the Stampin' Up! Spiral Flowers Die will certainly stay the distance!

The die takes all the guess work out of cutting the perfect shape and as its an Originals die its tough enough to cut paper, cardstock, felt, leather etc etc in your BigShot.

I find that breaking the fibres down in the cardstock gives a much better looking rose, you can do that by spritzing with water or I like to run the die cut shape through an embossing folder before rolling it into shape. Here I've also stamped the rose with the splodge stamp from Gorgeous Grunge so it has tonal shades too.

I added one of these to some Hardwood stamped tags and popped them on my Virtual Hostess club members goodies last month , I hope they liked them.

If you'd like a Spiral Flower Die they are just £15.95 each and you can order via my online shop or by emailing me nicolakerridge@virginmedia.com

I will see you tomorrow with my Mothers Day Card ...can't wait to give it to my Mum :)

Busy busy !

It's been busy here at my mini Stampin' Up! HQ !! I've been making cards and making swaps and making thank you tags and it's all such fun !

The latest makes still need photographing and as the evening light isn't great those will have to wait, I can share with you a card I made with one of the stamped tags I made for recent swaps at my Suffolk Stampin' Up! Demo's training evening. We all got together made some pretty projects and swapped some crafty lovelies with each other.
They are really such a lovely group of Girls & Boys and made me feel very welcome, if you are considering becoming a Demo or have any questions please let me know , it's a fabulous 'job' and I'd recommend it to anyone x

My swap was the scalloped tag you see on this card, I've used the gorgeous Hardwood Stamp and my one of my favourites of the moment the Petite Petals stamp and punch set it makes stunning little flowers in no time at all :)

I used the stamps again to create a quick background and there it is a really pretty card with minimal effort or fuss!

That's it for tonight but come back soon, my Easter stamps arrived today and they are so cute I'll have lots of fun making and sharing with them real soon:)

Scalloped Tag Punch Class - Take 2 !

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by again. I almost forgot to share the other variation I taught at my Scalloped Tag Punch Class earlier this month with the lovely Eclectic Keepsakes Ladies !

The projects were exactly the same but how different they look in a different colour pallette of Real Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake and with a more classic feminine theme ...

The scalloped closure card with a beautiful paper rose made from the Spiral Flower die

Here's a closer look , I also embossed the rose first using the Sale A Bration freebie Dots folder.

Next to a simpler card with the Hardwood Stamp background and sentiments and banners from the Perfect Pennants and Banners Framelits bundle.

And finally a little scalloped top treat box embellished with a die cut and stamped sentiment from the Chalk Talk bundle.

All the Ladies had a lovely time creating these projects and I even managed to convert some first time stampers into Stampin' Up! fans :)

I have lots to share with you over the next few days so please keep an eye out for more posts.

See you soon
